Hugh Robertson has stressed security for the London Marathon is already 'the best'
Sports minister Hugh Robertson is confident London will deliver a "safe and secure" marathon on Sunday.

His comments come in the wake of Monday's tragedy at the Boston marathon where three people were killed and more than 100 wounded in two separate bomb blasts.
Robertson confirmed security arrangements are being reviewed by organisers but stressed they were already of the highest standard.
"The first responsibility of government is the safety and security of its people," he told Sky Sports.
"Keeping people safe during that marathon is and would have been our biggest concern even before the events in Boston last night.
"We have some of the best security services, if not the best in the world and a police force that is used to doing this on a daily basis.
"The organisers of the London Marathon have already told us they will review their security arrangements but we shouldn't read anything into that at all, it's just a perfectly sensible thing to do.
"Whatever extra measures are needed will be taken, but the security planning is already done to the highest level and we're as confident as we can be that we'll deliver a safe and secure marathon.
"Having dealt with this sort of thing for London 2012 we know exactly what we're doing and we're as confident as we can be that we can keep this event safe and secure."
