MLB: Yasiel Puig played a key role as the Dodgers beat the Giants
Rookie sensation Yasiel Puig played a starring role as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 3-1.

Puig hit his seventh home run in just his 20th Major League game and then added a tie-breaking single in the eighth inning.
The youngster homered off Madison Bumgarner in the bottom of the first and later greeted relief pitcher George Kontos with a line-drive single which scored Nick Punto, before Hanley Ramirez drove in the game's final run.
Starter Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched 6 2/3 innings for the Dodgers, giving up one run, Paco Rodriguez came in to get two outs and the win, and Kenley Jansen worked the ninth for his fifth save.
In San Diego, Kyle Blanks singled home the winning run in the 10th as the Padres came from behind to beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3.
San Diego trailed 3-0 entering the bottom of the ninth but quickly chased impressive Phillies starter Cliff Lee from the game and Blanks, who had a career high four hits on the night, then delivered a two-run single off struggling closer Jonathan Papelbon.
The Padres went on to score the tying run on a passed ball before Blanks came up trumps again in the 10th.
Brantley stars for Indians
Over in the East, Cleveland made it nine wins from 12 games with a 5-2 success over the Baltimore Orioles which was powered by Michael Brantley.
The left fielder homered and had four RBI's while the bullpen threw 3 2/3 innings of one-hit ball after a Brantley two-run single had put Cleveland ahead in the sixth.
The Tampa Bay Rays ended Toronto's 11-game winning streak with a 4-1 success over the Blue Jays.
Rays rookie right fielder Wil Myers continued an impressive first week in the majors by clearing the fences in his home debut, the second of three straight Rays homers in the second inning.
James Loney and Sam Fuld also went deep while starter Jeremy Hellickson pitched seven innings of one-hit ball.
