Cascarino: Critical of appointment

Tony Cascarino feels he might as well have been handed the Chelsea job, while Steve Coppell wants to look into Leroy Lita's home videos.

Just when you think Jose Mourinho departing Chelsea is the biggest news of the week, The Blues then name director of football Avram Grant his successor!

'Avram who?' many of you are saying and with, some would feel, good reason. When the likes of Guus Hiddink and Didier Deschamps are mentioned, why did Chelsea choose the former Israel head coch?.

Former Republic of Ireland international Cascarino feels that with Chelsea opting to appoint individuals without any honours then maybe he should have been considered for the post.

When asked if Cascarino thinks Grant is Abramovich's puppet, he told Sky Sports News: "From the outside that's exactly what he looks like.

"If you were telling me (Grant) ticks the right boxes to become Chelsea manager, sorry you're wrong. He's achieved nothing in football. It's like giving me the job.

Sex, lies and videotape

Meanwhile, Reading striker Leroy Lita may want to keep his mobile videos a little more private in future after footage of his encounter with a mystery brunette reached his boss Steve Coppell.

Although Lita's film debut could have ended in tears, Coppell confirmed looking into the striker's bedroom antics was not high on his priority list.

"If it's true it's distasteful. But I want to get the facts first," said The Royals tactician.

"He hasn't volunteered information to me. I will ask him about it at some stage, but it isn't particularly high on my agenda."

Women in the game?

Speaking of sexy football Brazilian lineswoman Ana Paula Oliveira confirmed she had no regrets over posing nude for Playboy magazine.

The 29-year-old stunner may think twice about that as since the shoot she has had to oversee amateur contests as she has not been handed a professional game since.

"I want to make it clear that I have no regrets, on the contrary I have a strong personality," she said.

"Everywhere I go, I get a lot of support from the public and people tell me that if I persist, I will get another chance."
