Saha wasn't the only returning 'hero' at Goodison Park
An action-packed weekend on FanZone saw Charlie Emmett make his long-awaited comeback and Phil Heys hurling his 'Colonel' mascot in the air as Bolton moved off the bottom of the table.
Who cares if we only had three goals, an Aswad sing' along and Micky Houghton almost having a heart attack made up for all that!
Saturday's game between Everton and Fulham had all the ingredients of a thriller (well, not really), but Andy Johnson was returning to his old stamping ground. And in the Fanzone booth we also had the return of a former 'hero' as Fulham fan Charlie was reunited with his beloved microphone.
Just what sort of reception would he get after months away from the red button? Were his cheeky chappy observations sorely missed? Well, it would appear not as a barrage of texts gave poor Charlie a bit of an early hammering. Was he Tony Adams' long lost son asked one viewer... Judge for yourseld.
Things didn't improve when the Fulham fanatic revealed he was going to New York next week and invited anyone watching to text in if they wanted to meet him for a drink. Let's just say the studio computer was in no danger of overheating and one wag revealed he was thinking of cancelling his flight to the Big Apple!
Back to the game and there was little going on until the second half when both sides showed just how to miss free headers in the box. Then, on the stroke of full time a striker came back to haunt his former employers and it wasn't AJ.
Louis Saha finally broke his Everton duck to send Toffees fan Micky into wild vein-popping celebrations.
The DJ from Blackpool looked like he was about to keel over, such was the shock of three points at home.
To his credit, Charlie took defeat in a gracious manner. He's probably added 'bring back Brian McBride' to his holiday itinerary.
If the game at Goodison was short on action, Micky and Charlie were spoilt compared to the first half display at The Reebok on Sunday.
Half chance? There wasn't even a fifth of an opening until Ched Evans woke Jussi Jaaskelainen just before the interval.
Luckily there was no shortage of entertainment in the FanZone booth as Phil Heys and Danny Jackson ignored the football and discussed Aswad's greatest hits. Their rendition of 'Shine' would have brought a standing ovation from X-Factor judge Danni Minogue.
After 70 minutes the game finally got started. Bolton sub Ricardo Gardner sent Phil into a random leg-kicking dance with the opening goal.
Poor Danny hurled his microphone in disgust and things got worse as the 'Fox in the wrong box' Richard Dunne netted his second OG of the season.
This time Phil lost his head completely and flung his 'Colonel' mascot in the air. The poor Campo figurine flew over the booth and got stuck behind the set.
Thankfully Danny fished him out after the final whistle and remarked his shorts looked dirtier than half the City team!
Kris Commons' stunning strike gave Derby County a 1-0 victory over Man United in a thrilling Carling Cup semi-final first leg.
Blackburn claim they are yet to receive any bids for Roque Santa Cruz, while Portsmouth are keen to sign Newcastle's Joey Barton.
Zenit St Petersburg have told Sky Sports News they are only talking to Arsenal about Andrei Arshavin.
Kris Commons has spoken of his delight after his goal gave Derby a win over Manchester United at Pride Park.
Derby County caretaker boss David Lowe praised his side's attitude after a deserved win over Man United.
