Gennady Golovkin's promoter Tom Loeffler insists there are "no new negotiations" to fight Chris Eubank Jr.
World middleweight champion Golovkin defeated Kell Brook last September after a possible fight against Eubank Jr fell through, and now Loeffler has denied that talks have been resurrected.
"No new negotiations are in progress with Eubank Jr," Loeffler exclusively told Sky Sports.
"Although we would be open to that fight, as we were last September when Eddie Hearn made the offer."
The unbeaten WBA 'Super', WBC and IBF champion Golovkin (36-0) has always maintained that his priority is to unify the middleweight division, a task that will next see him face WBA 'regular' title-holder Danny Jacobs.
"Gennady and [his trainer Abel Sanchez] are totally focused on Danny Jacobs, because if he doesn't win that fight, all the plans for other fights go out of the window.
"They are the two best middleweights fighting against each other, and it is very rare in boxing to get the two best in their division to fight."
Eubank Jr (23-1) is due to fight Renold Quinlan next month.
