But Bellew has decided to fight again after holding talks with his family and promoter Eddie Hearn, leaving the door open for a return bout with Haye, who ruptured his achilles in the sixth round of their grudge match.

Haye underwent surgery to reattach his achilles and has targeted a return to the ring before the end of the year.

A brutal battle also left with Bellew with badly damaged fists, but he hopes to avoid an operation on his broken right hand, which would have ruled him out for a five month spell.

The Haye rematch is not the only option for Bellew, who has admitted he could also target a world heavyweight title fight against either WBC champion Deontay Wilder or WBO title holder Joseph Parker.
