The cousin of LFC great Robbie Fowler, Anthony, says he is determined to make a legacy of his own in the boxing ring

Anthony Fowler, cousin of Liverpool legend Robbie, is aiming to create his own legacy in the ring ahead of his professional debut on Saturday.

The 26-year-old will make his debut on the undercard of Kell Brook's IBF welterweight title defence against Errol Spence Jr at Bramall Lane in Sheffield.

Fowler, who represented Great Britain at the Rio Olympics last summer and won gold at the Commonwealth Games for England in 2014, says he is raring to go and looking to put on a powerful display.

"I always said Robbie got the feet, I got the fists," Fowler told Sky Sports News HQ.

"Obviously Robbie's a Liverpool legend and I'm hoping I can make my legacy as a boxer.

"I've always been naturally heavy handed, I've been knocking kids out since I was 15.

"In the amateurs, I've got pictures and videos of me as a kid knocking people out and you never see that these days with head-guards and big gloves, so as a professional I want to show my power as well as my skills."
