Freddie Roach admits he is a Conor McGregor fan but believes the Irishman can only match Floyd Mayweather over four rounds.
The Hall of Fame trainer also had a dig at former opponent Mayweather ahead of the unique Las Vegas event, on August 26, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
McGregor is fun to watch. He's a character.
Roach, who will be in the corner for Miguel Cotto on the same night as he tries to win the vacant WBO super-welterweight title in Carson, California, believes 'Money' is no longer exciting to watch, in comparison to UFC star McGregor.
"He's [McGregor] fun to watch," Roach told boxing.com.
"He's a character. [But] he's not that good of a fighter. He'll let his hands go and so forth. He's a little wild.
"He's putting himself on a very high level. I think he's more of a four-round fighter at this point."
Of course, Roach was behind Manny Pacquiao when he finally fought Mayweather in the 'Fight of the Century' in Las Vegas, in March 2015.
Mayweather won a unanimous decision and while the 40-year-old has said he owes fans an entertaining show against McGregor following his 12-round success over Pacquiao, Roach is not expecting a thriller.
"He's not a risk-taker anymore," he said of Mayweather.
"He's not the most exciting guy in the world. But, he's still a great boxer. [McGregor] can't beat guys like that, in my opinion."
