Frankie Gavin knows Jason Welborn will be doing all he can to rip the British welterweight title from his grasp when the pair go toe-to-toe on January 18.
Welborn, who will have plenty of support at the venue after selling all his tickets, is happy to postpone Christmas festivities in an attempt to try and fulfil his dream.
"It's two local lads fighting in the local area and you don't often get fights like this," he said. "That's why tickets have just flown out - he's sold all of his and I've sold all mine. We're trying to get more.
"I've got to be good over Christmas but this is my Christmas present, to get that belt. I felt it earlier and I want it."
Martin Gethin will also be in action the same bill, the local favourite taking on Ben Murphy for the vacant British and Commonwealth lightweight belts.
