The British super-middleweight rivals will clash for a second time on May 31 after Froch's controversial ninth-round stoppage victory in Manchester last November and Hearn is ready to stage the fight outdoors at a major stadium.
He told Sky Sports News: "May 31st is the preferred date for the fight. We are in discussions with about six or seven football stadiums all over the country right now - huge stadiums.
"This is a huge event. I believe it is the biggest fight in British boxing history and we are looking at crowds of up to 80,000.
"It is a dream to make it happen and over the next week we will be closing off a deal with one of those big venues and securing that football stadium that we need to cater for this fight.
"(We have had) discussions with Old Trafford, Wembley, Emirates, City Ground, Twickenham, Cardiff - it's a special fight. There are not many fights you get the opportunity to take them outside, but I want to see how big we can make it because this appeals to everybody.
"Since that (first) fight there hasn't been one day when I have walked down the street without someone asking "when is it going to happen, when is it going to happen again?"
"And credit to both men - it takes two to tango. People thought Carl Froch wouldn't take this fight but there was never any doubt in my mind.
"He has over the years fought everybody he has needed to and when George appealed to the IBF and they ordered a rematch Carl Froch was never going to vacate that belt.
"It is not something that he does so he will honour that decision by the IBF and he will fight George Groves and British boxing fans should be very happy with the outcome."
