Krzysztof Glowacki will undergo surgery on his elbow and wrist after seizing the WBO world title from Marco Huck.

The unbeaten Polish cruiserweight (25-0-KO16) recorded a dramatic 11th-round stoppage win over Huck (38-3-1-KO26) in August but is set for operations on injuries before defending his crown.

The 29-year-old's promoter Andrzej Wasilewski revealed that Glowiacki will under procedures on his left elbow and left wrist the week beginning September 7 - but no time frame on his return has been given.

Several options for Glowacki's first defence are emerging despite the news. The 46-year-old Roy Jones Jr, a former four-weight world champion, has won his last eight fights and has called for a shot at the newly-crowned champion.
