0025: Immelman can't quite finish in grand style as his birdie putt slips by but he taps in for par and he's the new Masters champion. A fantastic effort and he's a deserved winner. There's no tears just an overwhelming look of satisfaction. His young son comes to the side of the green to congratulate him before Immelman embraces all his family members and heads to the scorer's hut.
0023: Snedeker makes par to finish tied third and leaves the stage for Immelman.
0020: Immelman says "get lucky" as his second flies off the clubface. What could he mean? Is it heading towards the sand? The answer is no as his ball finds the green and trundles back a little towards the flag. The Masters is his.
0019 Just a little more drama. Immelman's ball is lying at the bottom of a thick divot!
0018 Snedeker plays an excellent recovery to find the green at the last. If he can hole a 20 foot birdie putt he'll tie for second with Woods.
0018: They've taken an eternity to get round the course today so it's no surprise to see the final pair deliberating for so long at the final hole.
0014: Fabulous drive by Immelman at 18 splits the fairway. Game over for Tiger backers.
0013: Snedeker, who made his par at 17, finds the rough at 18.
0012: Tiger needs Immelman to "do a Van de Velde" and blow a three-shot lead at the final hole. There's no water at the 18th though so he'd have to drive into the trees to mess this up.
0010: What a man. Immelman digs deep and holes his putt. He's on the brink!
0009: Excellent bunker shot from Immelman under extreme pressure. If he can hole his five-foot putt he'll have a priceless three-shot lead going up the last.
0008: Snedeker, four back at -4, hits a wayward second to 17 but a lovely chip should allow him to save par.
0007: Flesch pars the 18th and finishes in a tie for fifth alongside Mickelson and Harrington. Like Casey, the left-hander will see this as a big opportunity missed after coming home in 42.
0006: Another slight glimmer of hope for Tiger backers as Immelman's approach to 17 lands in the front bunker.
0005: Casey makes his par at 18 to finish level par. A hugely disappointing day for the Englishman but his time will surely come again.
0000: Immelman's drive at 17 trickles into the rough but no damage done there and he moves a step closer to the Green Jacket.
2358: A rare happy moment for Casey as he birdies the 17th to get back to even par and a tie for 11th.
2357: Snedeker bogeys. Woods is now alone in second.
2356: Immelman two putts so is three clear of Woods and Snedeker although the latter faces a tricky putt for par.
2355: Flesch drops into a tie for fifth with a bogey at 17. Good news for each-way backers of Harrington and Mickelson who should get some sort of return now.
2354: Tiger keeps up his end of the bargain by rolling in the putt. Over to Immelman.
2353: Tiger's second at the last finds the green and runs down the slope a little to finish eight or nine feet away. If he can make his birdie he'll get to -5 and if Immelman two putts the gap will be three.
2351: Immelman plays his third from the drop zone and finds the bottom tier. He has two putts for a double bogey five.
2348: Drama at the 16th as Immelman makes a massive error and finds the water. Surely he can't throw this away now, can he?
2347: As is tradition on Masters Sunday, the flag at 16 is on the back left of the green. Snedeker's tee-shot stays on the upper tier though so he'll have a job making par from there.
2344: Snedeker cuts the gap to five shots by rolling in his five foot birdie putt at 15. He's probably the only man who can now catch the South African.
2343: Immelman's birdie putt on 15 shaves the hole but he taps in for par and strides on to the 16th tee. He's closing in.
2341: The Casey horrow show continues as a bogey at 16 drops him to +1 for the tournament. He'll now need to play the last two holes in under par to break 80!
2340: Immelman safely finds the green in three at the par five 15th so that's one more obstacle out of the way. Up at 17 Tiger can only make par so remains six back.
2337: Flesch drops another shot on 16. He's now played the last five holes in five over.
2235: Immelman doesn't need to take risks now and lays up on the 15th.
2234: Tiger's approach to 17 doesn't threaten the flag so a birdie there looks extremely unlikely.
2230: Stewart Cink holes a lengthy birdie putt on 16 and, in the blink of an eye, he's now tied second with Woods, Flesch and Snedeker.
2228: It looks as if Tiger's race is run. He misses his short birdie putt on 16 and remains six back. And with Snedeker bogeying the 14th, suddenly Immelman has a massive six-shot lead. He was one arm inside the Green Jacket.
2322: Tremendous shot from Tiger at the short 16th sets up what looks a certain birdie, but it looks to have come too late.
2318: Harrington taps in for par on 18 to grab a share of the clubhouse lead with Mickelson on -2. Another battling showing from the Dubliner but he'll be slightly disappointed not to be closer.
2316: Casey's sad demise shows no sign of abating and another dropped shot at 14 has seen him fall back to level-par. That's seven-over for the day.
2312: I think I was rather unfair on Immelman when I said the field seemed determined to hand him the title as he has come up with answers when needed and just produced the shot that could clinch him a first major crown. Having laid up with his second at 13 he flights his pitch to within three feet to set up a birdie which, with Snedeker unable to save his par and Flesch three-putting at 14, presents him with five-shot lead with five to play.
2307: Cink has birdied 14 to sneak himself back up into fifth on -3.
2305: Oh dear, oh dear... for the second day running Snedeker has a dash at the 13th green with his second and finds Rae's creek. They seem determined to hand this one to Immelman at the minute.
2302: Lee Westwood is in the clubhouse with a closing 73 that leaves him at level-par for the tournament. Enough to secure him an invite for next year, but he could and should have been looking for something much better than that had his putter showed any signs of life.
2259: Dangerous to say, but Tiger's race looks to be run as he fails to make a crucial par-putt at 14. That drops him back to -4... an awful time for a three-putt.
2255: Immelman landed himself in real trouble after finding the banks at the back of 12 with his tee-shot. A duffed chip left him still off the putting surface, but a brave two-putt limits the damage to just one stroke and his lead is now three with six to play.
2253: A break for Snedeker at last. The smile hasn't left his face despite several bogeys and he gets some reward as he sinks a cracking putt for birdie at 12 to move back to -6, level with Flesch.
2249: Poulter's miserable day finally comes to an end and he'll be signing for a 78. Sad end to a tournament that had started in the most promising of fashion.
2247: I'm rubbing my eyes, I was certain the Tiger charge was well underway, but he's contrived to miss the birdie putt at 13. He was no more than four feet away, but it slipped past on the low side and he remains five back. Huge couple of minutes.
2244: Immelman produces what at the end of proceedings could prove a massive putt at 11. The South African looked certain to drop at least one shot after a weak pitch, but rolled in from the fringe to maintain his four-shot lead. Snedeker lets another slip away and is now five back at -5.
2241: Tiger engineers a cracking recovery shot when cramped by a tree on 13 after a wayward drive and a wonderful pitch which feeds back to the hole leaves him five foot for birdie.
2237: Flesch misses with his putt to save bogey and all of a sudden Immelman's lead is four. Flesch joins Snedeker at -6 with Tiger just a stroke further adrift.
2233: Mickelson taps in for a level-par 72 that sees him finish on -2. He's currently tied for fifth and that can only get better from here the way things are going.
2231: It must be said play is ridiculously slow today, especially the final group. They have been out on the course for over three hours now and have managed to complete only ten holes thus far. This rant of course has nothing to do with the fact that I'll be sat here until the early hours until they finish...
2230: It feels like the men are just beginning to be separated from the boys here as Amen Corner claims its latest victim... Steve Flesch. Not renowned as the most solid under pressure the lefty has just dumped his tee-shot into the drink at 12.
2228: Tiger makes a clutch putt for par at 12 after slightly overshooting the green with his tee-shot.
2222: Swede Robert Karlsson has been hovering around the top 15-20 today but has just produced an eagle at 15 to move back to level-par today, -2 for the torunament and into a tie for fifth as the top European alongside Harrington.
2218: Flesch is holding things together admirably here and another excellent approach at 11 means he will have aneother chance to up the pressure on Immelman.
2215: Hello hello! Is this the moment... Tiger sinks an absolute monster putt on 11 to bounce straight back from his bogey. He's still five back of course, but could that be the catalyst for a back-nine charge? The way things are going something around -8 could be good enough here and we all know Tiger is capable of finding a birdie or three when he needs them most.
2210: Immelman and Snedeker both make par at the tenth and Trevor can tick off another hole. However, it's Amen Corner next, let's see if it brings us more drama.
2207: Mickelson had hauled himself into a tie for fifth, but has bogeyed 16 and slips back to -2.
2202: Paul and Martyn both reckon the slow and steady approach of Flesch could prevail yet. Paul reckons he could live to regret that short birdie putt at seven.
2157: Only two players have played the front nine under-par today, Padraig Harrington and Miguel Angel Jimenez, and there are just ten players now under-par for the tournament.
2154: Immelman holds a big, big putt on nine to save par and hit the turn in 37. He remains two clear of Flesch, but has now pulled four clear of Snedeker who can do no better than bogey as his par-putt somehow stays out.
2150: The putt slides past and Tiger cannot save his par on ten. That's him back to -4, six behind the leader. It's going to take something extraordinary if he's to pull it off from here, even by his own superhuman standards.
2147: Deon from Bloemfontein reckons it is now Immelman's to lose... but he's just beginning, for the first time this week it must be said, to look a little tight. He's found the sand trap guarding the front of the ninth green and needs a solid up-and-down to avoid back-to-back bogeys.
2144: Owen from Oz has been in touch and brings us the sad news he opted to throw his wedge behind Casey's doomed challenge. Perhaps unsurprisingly he's now reached for a bottle of red which seems the best option given the circumstances.
2142: Tiger and Cink are both finding the going tough on ten and have their work cut out to make par. Dropped shots here and the top three will be breaking some way clear.
2138: Flesch misses his birdie putt, but is now within two of Immelman who can only three-putt at eight to drop back to -10. This really is bubbling up quite nicely for a tense back nine. Just as it should be on Sunday at Augusta.
2136: 2004 & 2006 champ Phil Mickelson is up to -3 after birdies at 13 and 14, that's tied for sixth.
2130: Arguably the most consistent performer on the course at present is Flesch and he produces a wonderful second into nine to leave himself ten-foot for a birdie that would lift him to within two of Immelman at -9. I can't help thinking back to Ivor from Limerick earlier and his drunken 50 pound bet on Flesch at 10/1... keep the faith Ivor!!
2126: David has been in contact from South Africa to quite rightly put me straight on those slurs over bad winners earlier. He is carping on about the Springboks winning the rugby World Cup which seems to illustrate the original point, but the good news for David is that he looks like having another success to celebrate soon as Immelman is playing some steady golf. Will his nerve stand up to the back nine though?
2123: Make that six dropped in the last five for Casey and he's now level with Andres Romero on -2 and out of it.
2122: Casey is having the proverbial nightmare. Five-over for the last four and struggling for par at eight, his challenge really has evaporated in the blink of an eye. It's much better news for his partner Flesch who moves into second on his own at -8 as he trickles in a birdie putt.
2117: A bogey it is for Snedeker, but Immelman snatches at his tiddler and is forced to settle for par. His lead increases again, but that was a real chance missed.
2115: Remember if you want to have your say about who you think will end up with the Green Jacket upon their shoulders tonight, email me here at mark.kendall@bskyb.com and I'll share your thoughts, wisdom, madness, punts, problems etc with the masses... Immelman's not going to lose it from here is he?
2113: Immelman is turning the screw. A quite majestic approach to seven leaves him with about four feet for another birdie that would give him real breathing space. Snedeker can only find the bunker and a bogey here for him could see the South African suddenly streak five clear.
2110: Australian Stuart Appleby is putting together a very decent round, he's two-under through 17 and level-par overall which is good enough for a tie for 14th. Jimenez is now tied for ninth and sitting ever prettier after his 68.
2106: Shots going begging left, right and centre here and the principle beneficiary is Immelman. Snedeker pays the price for a poor tee-shot at six and makes bogey, Flesch can only bogey seven, as does partner Casey and Harrington bogeys nine. The upshot of that is that Immelman is three clear on -11 and Tiger is tied for fourth on -5 despite having stood still.
2100: Harrington is locked together with Casey at -4 but came within an ace of improving to -5 at the eighth, sadly for the Open champ his birdie putt just stayed on the high side.
2058: Think I've managed to put the hex on Flesch as he managed to find the second cut on seven before cracking his second firmly into a tree ahead of him which deflects it straight across the fairway and behind another. Par looking most unlikley from here...
2055: Immelman looks to have things nicely under control at present and guides in a very acceptable tee-shot at the par-three sixth which finishes 12 foot or so from the flag.
2050: Casey's partner Flesch is solidity personified at present, he has begun his round with six straight pars to stay at -8. What the Casey would give for that now as he's three-over already today.
2048: Very back luck for Casey at six, having addressed his putt, his ball moves and he is forced to declare a penalty stroke which sees him fall back to -4. Terrible sequence for the Englishman and he's now seven shots off the pace as Immelman sinks his birdie putt to move to -11, that's two clear of the field as Snedeker had to settle for par.
2044: Two wonderful approaches from Immelman and Snedeker mean the final pairing will both have less than ten feet for birdie, Immelman more like four or five. Tiger looked like producing something similar at seven, but gets too much spin and mutters in disgust as his ball trickles back off the green.
2040: I'm afraid Poults managed to make it three double-bogeys on the trot and is now all the way back at +3. Things really are turning sour for the Englishman.
2038: Immelman and Snedeker both scramble well to get away with pars at the fourth, but it's a woeful 20 minutes for Paul Casey who, after that fine birdie at three, has now followed a double bogey at four with a bogey at five. He's back to -5 alongside Tiger and Cink.
2035: Tiger has his first birdie of the day following a two at the sixth. Wonderful tee-shot left a putt of no more than four feet and he's back to within five of Immleman at -5.
2033: Having produced the shot of the day by holing his second at the seventh for an eagle, Miguel Angel Jimenez has now chipped in on 18 to complete a stunning 68 that lifts him to -1 and into the top ten. Fantastic effort from the Spaniard and it could get even better by the end of the day.
2030: Harrington produces a stunning second to the seventh but crucially cannot convert the birdie putt. He stays -4, a real chance gone begging for the Dubliner.
2028: Justin Rose brings an end to what has proved an ultimately disappointing week. A closing 76 means he ends up on +7.
2026: The pressure does seem to be getting to Immelman as he takes far too much club at the fourth and sees his ball bound through and off the back of the green. Very tricky second coming up now.
2025: It's just not happening for Tiger as his brilliant long-range birdie putt at five decides to run out of steam a matter of millimetres before the cup. Tiger has his cap off and is scratching head, he's every right to, that seemed a certainty to drop.
2023: Those towards the top of the leaderboard seem to be heading backwards at the moment, Cink has dropped one at five, while Casey cannot get up-and-down after finding sand at the fourth and is back to -6.
2020: Old Trev has made a solid par at the third to stay at -10 and that is good enough to reclaim the lead as Snedeker's lengthy par-putt just lips out. The American does have a great attitude though and can manage a broad smile despite the dropped shot.
2018: John Everitt has got in contact from Immelman's home town of Somerset West in South Africa. However, as an exiled Englishman, he's pledging his support to Paul Casey, apparently the South Africans are not very good winners... whoever would have thought?
2015: Snedeker's back in trouble at the third as his drives plugs in the bunker, forcing him to just bail out back on to the fairway with his second.
2012: Tiger comes up with a miraculous escape from the bunker to leave just three foot for par, but incredibly misses the putt and has to stick down a bogey four on his card. He's now -4 and six back once again. Cink is mightily unlucky as he sees his birdie putt on the same hole chase round the cup before staying above ground.
2010: It's all happening at the moment, despite a poor drive at three Casey produces a sumptuous iron that pulls up just three feet short of the cup. He sinks that and is now just two back of the leaders on -8 with Flesch.
2007: Snedeker produces a quite wonderful putt to claim his eagle at the second. Had to send it just off the fringe of green, but read it perfectly and it steamed into the centre of the cup. Immelman cannot make his birdie putt and suddenly we have joint leaders at -10.
2005: Tiger finds the bunker in front of the short fourth... but the big move is up ahead.
2003: Casey and Flesch both made pars at the second. Fine bunker shot from Immelman and he'll have seven-eight foot for birdie.
2001: Having left himself eight footish for birdie at three, Tiger cannot convert and has to settle for a third straight par. Still time, but needs a birdie soon to start panicking those ahead of him.
1959: A few of you out there think the final pairing are going to fall away after their bogeys at the first. I can tell you Snedeker has played a cracker into the par-five second and will have a putt, allbeit a very tricky 25-30 footer, for eagle. Immelman has found the bunker in front of the green and has some work to do.
1956: Goosen and Mickelson are both one-over for their rounds through six and seven holes respectively and at -1 overall.
1954: Poults is heading backwards at a rapid rate. He started with those two birdies, but the bogey at three has now been followed by consecutive double bogeys at five and six which have seen him slip right back to +1.
1952: Superb drive from Immelman at the second, long and right down the middle. The South African has missed just four fairways over the first three days.
1950: Casey has found the bunker protecting the front of the green with his second to the second, but he has plenty of green to work with and an up-and-down would have him within two of Immelman.
1944: Tiger fails to make birdie at the par-five second and has to settle for a par-par start. Not what he would heave been looking for. Partner Stewart Cink started the day a shot behind Tiger, but birdies at one and two have taken him above Woods and to -6.
1942: Strong start from Padraig Harrington who has edged up to -4 with birdies at two and three - that's six behind our leaders now. Quick word for Miguel Angel Jimenez who is three-under for the day and back to level-par after an eagle at seven and birdies at 13 and 14. Slocum is back in the clubhouse with a 69, that's a great effort today.
1940: Immelman's 20-foot par-putt at the first lips out, but he shows a bit of bottle to sink the four-foot return and limit the damage to just one dropped shot. Snedeker also makes bogey and things have just got a bit more interesting.
1937: Like Flesch, Casey has also made a par down the first, but leading duo Immelman and Snedeker both appear to be feeling the pressure at the first and are struggling for par.
1932: Brett is also in the Immelman camp as is Mike from Spain, but my favourite message thus far comes from Ivor in Limerick who has revealed after several pints in the pub for the Arsenal-Man United game, he has decided to throw 50 notes at Steve Flesch to win at 10/1. Good work Ivor... inspired or just drunk, we'll soon find out. He's started with a par at the first.
1926: Writes Christian: "Must say I'm pretty bullish about Brandt Snedeker. The chap has a great mentality, a real competitive sort who seems to love the big stage. I threw 30 euros on him at 210's pre-tournament. Have banked 250 through laying, so my pot if he wins is 600. I'll be shouting him the whole way home! How do you fancy his chances?" Got to say Christian it's me that should be asking you for tips with betting acumen like that. I've been impressed with the American, especially the way he bounced back from that nightmare around Amen Corner yesterday and he does seem to like a battle. But I think Immelman has looked very solid thus far and is capable of bringing this home... of course that means with me having cursed him you should probably throw some more on Snedeker now.
1922: Simon reckons Tiger is still very much in this and thinks the players ahead of him could be reeled in with a fast start. I can tell you the world number one is out on the course and has opened with a par.
1920: After a bogey at the first, Adam Scott has birdied four and five to move into the red numbers for both the day and tournament at -1. Toms departs 13 with a big, fat eight on his card.
1918: In fact, not content with finding it once, he's now contrived to put his fourth in there as well... this could get ugly.
1916: 2001 USPGA champion David Toms was already having a day to forget at five-over through 12 holes and it just got worse as he is another to find a watery grave in Rae's Creek at 13 having taken on the second to the green with his five-wood.
1915: Remember if you want to have your say about who you think will end up with the Green Jacket upon their shoulders tonight, email me here at mark.kendall@bskyb.com and I'll share your thoughts, wisdom, madness, punts, problems etc with the masses... anyone fancy a meltdown for Immelman?
1912: Of the 37 players on the course at present, only eight are under-par and only Slocum any more than one-under for the day so low scoring seems unlikely with this gusty breeze about.
1910: Poults' early surge hits the buffers at three as he comes unstuck with a bogey five.
1906: He might still be very much at the wrong end of the field, but Heath Slocum is finishing his campaign in some style and is now -3 for his round today after a run of three birdies in four holes from 13 to 16. Slocum was one of the early pacesetters on day one but is back at +5 now.
1902 The Goose needs some early fireworks to have any chance of hauling himself into contention, two pars at one and two aren't to be sniffed at today, but you feel he's a bit too far away to have a shout.
1858: Sandy's home with three straight pars and a +14 total of 302 for the week. The 1988 champ deserves a hefty pat on the back for making the cut and he was -3 at one point during the first round remember. Ran out of steam a bit over the weekend though...
1856: Poults is now two from two as he birdies the second as well. At -4 he's now just one back of Tiger, what he would have given for a start like this yesterday when he couldn't muster a single birdie.
1853: Justin Rose's week is petering out in alarming fashion as another bogey finds its way on to his card at the 12th. Having overshot the green and found an awkward spot between the bunkers over the back he can't get up and down and slips to +6.
1850: Phil Mickelson is underway with a couple of pars, playing partner, and fellow former champion, Vijay Singh has gone one better with a birdie at the second to join the large group at -2.
1846: Bubba Watson is currently putting together the best round of the day, the ridculously long-hitting lefty is two-under through nine and level-par for the tournament after birdies at one, two and seven and just one bogey.
1843: Nice starts for Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter. After a par at the first Westwood produces a birdie four down the second to climb to -2, while Poults is up to -3 as he conjures a birdie at the first.
1837: Wretched run for Ogilvy who was expected to go very well this week by many observers. The Aussie has bogeyed ten, eleven and thirteen and looks distinctly disinterested by it all now... although that's also how he looks when he's winning to be fair.
1834: The wind really is quite stiff at times today and could well catch a few players out today. Tactics might play a key part later on with steady pars likely to be as important for the leaders as birdies.
1829: Choi finds Rae's Creek at 13 and takes a seven. He's now last but one alongside Woosie at +11.
1826: James from Dublin writes: "Has the wind got up? if so Tiger will falter. When he pushes the driver he comes out of it and it heads right. Immelmen lost to Sergio Garcia in St. Andrews in the British amateur if I'm right and he has developed in to a winner but Garcia cannot close as a pro." The worry with Tiger, James, is that he's won all his Majors from the front. Given how tough Augusta plays these days (there hasn't been a round better than 67 so far this week) playing catch-up will be extremely hard. If Immelman can shoot 71, it could well be enough.
1820 Back-to-back bogeys for Geoff Ogilvy at 11 and 12. Bad news if you've sold his finishing position on the spreads as the Aussie is now down to tied 41st.
1818 "Poor old Sandy" becomes "Good old Sandy". Since that hat-trick of double bogeys at 9, 10 and 11 he's made par at 12 and 13 and now he's birdied the 14th. "There's life in the old dog yet," as Peter Alliss might say.
1816 Safe to say that Adam Scott doesn't care for the opening holes at Augusta. He's made only pars and bogeys at the first five holes so far this week and he's at it again with a bogey five at the first hole today.
1815 Miguel Angel Jimenez is one under for the day after eight holes - mainly thanks to an unlikely eagle two at the par four seventh.
1811 Scott writes: "I stand to collect £100 if Immelman wins but can take £60 now. Do I take the £60 or let it ride?" Erm, try ringing Noel Edmonds. "No deal" in my view as Immelman has a solid record when in contention. Don't blame me though if Trev comes apart at the seams at Amen Corner.
1805 Big-hitting Bubba Watson adds a third birdie of the day, the latest at the seventh, to move into the top 20. He's still 11 behind leader Immelman though. Sandy pars the 13th.
1758 Dougherty has made 14 birdies this week but can't add another at the par five second.
1757 Sandy stops the bleeding with a welcome par three at the 12th.
1755 Martyn Bruce has written in to say he's in for a "nervy night" having backed Snedeker at 175/1 and Casey at 80/1. He's got both each-way but there 's nothing like hitting the jackpot - especially in a Major.
1746 This is becoming just a little bit embarrassing for poor old Sandy. A six at 11 makes it three double bogeys on the trot for the former champ. He's now 16 over for the tournament and dead last by eight shots. Having done superbly to make the cut it's a shame to see him falling apart in the final round.
1737 Henrik Stenson bogeys the first to slip back to +3.
1735 It hasn't worked out for KJ Choi this week but he has the best round of the day going so far. The South Korean has responded to a bogey at the first with birdies at two, seven and eight and is two-under for the day. However, he's still only tied 41st of the 45 players who made it into the weekend.
1730: Nice start for Nick Dougherty who has helped himself to a birdie at the first, while Sandy has made it back-to-back doubles at ten.
1716: Sandy Lyle really has had an extraordinary front nine, after three bogeys and two birdies in his first five holes, he then parred the sixth before going bogey-birdie-double bogey to hit the turn in 39 shots. Justin Leonard is out and has birdied the first to move to +1.
1706: Neil's been in contact to say he fancies Paul Casey's cool temprament to see him home today. The Englishman will tee off four shots behind Immelman, he has proved he can find birdies around Augusta, but maybe the more important question is can he keep untimely bogeys off his card?
1703: Rose can manage only a five at the third and drops his first shot of the day to slide back to +4. Woosie bogeys the fourth and is now +7.
1657: Another bogey for Sandy at seven who is now two-over for the day and +11 for the tournament.
1648: Playing partners Bubba Watson and Richard Sterne make light of the first and both depart with birdie threes on their cards to climb to +1.
1640: Justin Rose has made his par down the first but surely must still be beating himself up about that eight at 15 on Friday which really took the wheel off his challenge.
1628: Marcus Goddard has been in contact asking about the weather forecast for today at Augusta, it is meant to be set fairish but with the threat of some gusty winds which could yet cause a problem or two and have a say in the outcome.
1620: Rollercoaster start for Sandy, he's now gone bogey-birdie-bogey-birdie-bogey and is back to +10. Woosie is threatening to do similar having kicked off with a bogey and a birdie himself, while Geoff Ogilvy is already one over through two.
1602: Sandy's got his shot straight back at the second with a birdie-four, and is now second-last in the event as KJ Choi has bogeyed the first to drop back to +10 himself.
1555: Remember if you want to have your say about who you think will end up with the Green Jacket upon their shoulders tonight, email me here at mark.kendall@bskyb.com and I'll share your thoughts, wisdom, madness, problems etc with the masses... anyone fancy a last-day charge from the Tiger?
1550: Not the ideal start for poor old Sandy who has opened up with a bogey at the first to drop back to +10, it could be a long day for the Scot.
1545: Just to mark your card about when the Brits will be out, Ian Woosnam (+6) is due off at 1555, Justin Rose (+3) 1615, Nick Dougherty (+1) 1715, Lee Westwood (-1) 1805, Ian Poulter (-2) 1825 and Padraig Harrington (-2) 1845. That just leaves Casey who is on the tee in the penultimate group with Steve Flesch at 1915. Tiger is paired with Stewart Cink in the group immediately in front of Casey at 1905, while the leader Immelman is off with Snedeker at 1925.
1535: The first Brit ever to win at Augusta, 1988 champion Sandy Lyle, is first off today at 15:35 and will be heading round on his own. Sandy Lyle slumped to the bottom of the field yesterday with a 78 and will be looking to sign off with a measure of style.
1530: Well here we go again, it's Sunday at Augusta with the first major of the season to be decided over the course of the next few hours. Trevor Immelman established a two-shot overnight courtesy of a birdie at the last yesterday and will go in chase of his maiden major title later on. But there are still a number of players within striking distance, Brandt Snedeker is two back, Steve Flesch three back and, with Blighty's hopes on his shoulders, Paul Casey is four back. All that and we've not even mentioned one Tiger Woods who begins the day six shots off the pace. Another thrilling climax could well be in prospect and you can follow the action here with us.
