    Over 13.5 - Pak 45/3 (Younus 9, Misbah 28)

    Misbah on strike, Pakistan need 1 to win, Peterson to bowl. Misbah blocks the first four balls, and then goes over the top, another six and Pakistan win by 7 wickets.


    Over 13 - Pak 39/3 (Younus 9, Misbah 22)

    Morkel to continues, Misbah on strike, 4 more runs to win. Misbah punches it down the ground for three runs, scores are level, Steyn does well to stop the boundary. Pakistan stay on 39 for 3 after 13 overs.


    Over 12 - Pak 35/3 (Younus 9, Misbah 19)

    South Africa have not lost a test in the last 15 tests. Peterson brought into the attack. Khan drives but does not get a run, protection out in the deep for South Africa. Younus edges it and it goes past Kallis, falling short, for a single. Misbah lifts one straight down the ground and over the top, a six from the captain, Pakistan need 5 runs to win. A quick single and Misbah will keep strike. Pakistan need 4 to win.


    Over 11 - Pak 28/3 (Younus 8, Misbah 12)

    First change in the bowling for South Africa, Morkel comes into the attack. Misbah clips it off his pads for four to deep fine leg. Misbah gets another single, takes Pakistan to 23 with 17 more to win. Khan joins in on the action, drives it straight down the ground with the full face of the bat, classy boundary from him. Younus Khan keeps the strike with a leg bye from the last ball, Pakistan 12 runs away from a victory.

    A maiden from Philander to Younus Khan, Pakistan stay at 18 for 3 after 10 overs.


    Over 9 - Pak 18/3 (Younus 4, Misbah 7)

    Steyn continues, Khan blocks a few, ducks against the short ball. Younus Khan drives it straight down the ground and takes three runs as Pakistan edge close to the target. End of a good over from Steyn, Pakistan need 22 more to win.


    Over 8 - Pak 15/3 (Younus 1, Misbah 7)

    Misbah gets a single to start the over, and Philander will get a chance to bowl at Khan. Khan knocks it to square leg for a single. Misbah being tested by Philander, a few balls beating him as he tries to get some back on them. Misbah pushes it on the leg side but is denied the single. End of the over, just two from it.


    Over 7 - Pak 13/3 (Younus 0, Misbah 6)

    Steyn continues his spell, bowling very well here. Misbah and Younus are the more experienced of the Pakistani batsmen, so they should be able to get these 27 runs. But Steyn and Philander are bowling very well here. End of another maiden, Pakistan 13 for 3.

    A swinging ball and Misbah pushes it through the off side for four, hit in front of point for a much needed boundary. Pakistan need 27 more runs to win. Just the boundary from the over, Pakistan 13 for 3 after 6 overs.


    Over 5 - Pak 9/3 (Younus 0, Misbah 2)

    Steyn starts his third over. Donald having a chat with Philander on the boundary. Steyn is also bowling well here, pitching it in the right areas and Khan up to the challenge. A maiden in the end, Khan plays the over out watchfully.

    Misbah is padded up in the dressing room. WICKET! Philander gets the outside edge, Manzoor edges it to the keeper, great bowling from Steyn and Philander. Misbah was seen padded up and now has to walk out to bat. Philander working in that corridor of uncertainty and creating the angle and the edge. Misbah pushes it to fine leg for a single. End of the 4th over, South Africa are fired up, Pakistan 9 for 3.

    Good balls for Steyn, just pitching it outside off and swinging it away from the batsmen, Ali leaves the balls watchfully. WICKET! Another wicket, not celebrating too much but South Africa get another one. Steyn gets it on the mark, it moves just enough and Ali edges it to Kallis and is out for 3. Pakistan 2 wickets down for 7 runs. Younus Khan comes out to bat.

  • Over 2 - Pak 7/1 (Ali 3, Manzoor 4)

    WICKET! Philander strikes, pitches in line and moves off the seam and Masood edges it to the keeper, South Africa get their first wicket. Azhar Ali walks out to join Manzoor. Ali pushes it through slips and gully for three runs, good running between the wickets. Younus Khan is padded up. Manzoor blocks the last ball, Pakistan 7 for 1.


    Over 1 - Pak 4/0 (Masood 0, Manzoor 4)

    Steyn starts with the ball, Pakistan need 40 to win in their second innings. Manzoor takes strike, leaves a few outside off stump. Manzoor pushes his front foot out, and punches this through the covers for four to end the over.


    TEA DAY 4

    It is tea on day four and Pakistan have done well to dismiss South Africa for 232 in 82.4 overs. South Africa started the day on 72 for 4, and good contributions from AB de Villiers and Peterson helped them to avoid an innings defeat. Pakistan need 40 runs to win after tea.

  • Over 82.4 - SA 232/10 (Peterson 47)

    Peterson takes a single to start the over, WICKET! Ajmal pushes an off break, Philander edges it and Akmal juggles it but holds on in the end. SA lose their 9th wicket, the lead is 39 runs. Morne Morkel is the last man in, Peterson on 47 at the other end. That was Ajmal's 50th wicket in the UAE. WICKET! Morkel does not last long, pushes one straight back to Ajmal who takes an easy catch. Pakistan will need 40 runs to win.


    Over 82 - SA 231/8 (Philander 10, Peterson 46)

    Babar continues, good dot balls to start the over, three fielders around the bat. Philander leaves a ball alone and it just misses the stumps, good bowling from Babar. A maiden in the end, another very good over from Babar.


    Over 81 - SA 231/8 (Philander 10, Peterson 46)

    A wide ball from Ajmal and Peterson puts it away through the off side to deep point for two runs. The new ball is due but is not taken, the reviews have been reset. Peterson heaves it away on the leg side through midwicket for four, great shot. Dropped, Peterson edges it to Akmal who drops it, Ajmal is furious. SA lead by 38 runs.


    Over 80 - SA 225/8 (Philander 10, Peterson 40)

    The new ball will be due after this over. Babar continues, Philander blocks and blocks and then takes a single to mid off. End of the over, SA lead by 32 and the new ball is due.


    Over 79 - SA 225/8 (Philander 10, Peterson 40)

    Three more overs till the new ball, Irfan may come back into the attack before tea. A leg bye pushes the lead to 23. Innovative batting from Peterson, reverse sweeping it for four, not letting the spinner settle. Then he takes the single straight down the ground. End of the over, six from it.


    Over 77 - SA 215/8 (Philander 7, Peterson 34)

    Ajmal switching ends, spin from both ends for Pakistan. Peterson reverse sweeps it, switch hit from him for four. Then he drives it to deep extra cover for a couple of runs. A shout for a stumping by Akmal, the umpire is unmoved. SA lead by 22 runs, with 20 minutes to tea.


    Over 76 - SA 209/8 (Philander 7, Peterson 28)

    Babar comes back into the attack replacing Ajmal. Peterson sweeps hard to deep midwicket and Manzoor does well to keep it down to two. Two slips, gully and a forward short leg for Philander, who pushes it to fine leg for a single. Peterson looking to score, sweeps and gets a top edge it falls short of Khan at deep square leg, Peterson gets a run in the end. SA 209 for 8, lead by 16 runs.

    Khan continues, SA on 199 for 8. Three runs, Philander pushes it through the off side and runs hard. The 200 comes up for SA and the lead is push into double digits. Five runs from the over.


    Over 74 - SA 199/8 (Philander 3, Peterson 22)

    Peterson drives it to short midwicket, a single in the end as the fielder does not stop it cleanly. Philander is looking determined at the crease, SA lead by 6 runs.


    Over 73 - SA 197/8 (Philander 2, Peterson 21)

    Peterson pads it to square leg, for a single and SA lead by 1 run. Pakistan will have to bat again. Philander pulls it on the leg side for a single. Two runs to end the over, SA lead by 4 runs.


    Over 72 - SA 193/8 (Philander 1, Peterson 18)

    Peterson against Ajmal, he is the senior batsman now after AB departed last over. Philander can also bat a bit, highest score of 74, so he is good for a few. Philander tucks it away to deep square leg for a single and gets off the mark. Average around 25, and his highest score coming against Pakistan at Supersport Park.     Khan runs in after the drinks break, SA very close to making Pakistan bat again. AB gets a single and then Peterson works it on the leg side for a single. WICKET! Against the run of play, AB falls, a slower ball from Khan and AB mishits it to Masood at cover. SA trail by 3 runs as AB departs for 90 runs. Philander walks out to bat, Khan bowls Philander blocks.

    A stifled appeal for lbw, the ball was missing leg. Just a single from the over, SA trail by 6 runs.

    The 50 partnership comes up for with a good shot from Peterson, forces the ball through the off side for three runs, Irfan just stops it awkwardly inside the boundary. SA trail by 7 runs at the end of the 68th over.


    Over 67 - SA 182/7 (de Villiers 86, Peterson 12)

    AB to face Khan, the ball goes down leg racing past the keeper for four byes, that misses everyone. A couple of runs as AB inside edges it to fine leg this time, the deficit now 17 runs. More runs down leg, AB hits this to fine leg for four, that was a good shot from him. Good over for South Africa so far, 10 from it with 3 balls to go. A couple more runs to AB, who moves on to 86. SA trail by 11 runs.


    Over 66 - SA 170/7 (de Villiers 78, Peterson 12)

    Ajmal runs in from the other end, change of ends for him. Pakistan's attack has shared the workload, Misbah rotating them very well. Shouts of catch it, but AB sweeps it well and there are no fielders in that region. Just a single from the over, SA trail by 23 runs.

    Junaid Khan comes into the attack after lunch, Misbah trying something different. Khan will be looking for some reverse swing, he has bowled well today. AB gets a single from a push through square leg. Peterson takes a single, AB on strike. AB hit on the pads, looked like an inside edge, big appeal from the bowler, umpire gives it not out and Misbah reviews it. Hawk eye shows it was missing the stumps, not out is the verdict. AB responds with a punch through the off side almost reaches the boundary but the fielder does well to stop it, three runs in the end.

    AB plays it over the infield to long off for a single, Peterson works Babar through the off side for another single. AB sweeps and sweeps well, four more runs for South Africa, AB moves on to 72, good fighting knock from him. A single to end the over.

    AB pushes it to long off for a single, Peterson almost gets an lbw decision against him but just inside edges it slightly to save himself. This partnership has moved on to 21 runs in 27 balls now, and has done so with singles and twos. Peterson goes for the slog sweep and gets it to fine leg for two.     Ajmal continues, Peterson gets a single to deep cover. A single to AB and then Peterson gets one through square leg. This pair chipping away for singles, bringing up the 150 for SA. The deficit now is 43 runs.

    Babar continues this pair looking for singles, trying to push the field out as Pakistan look to attack. Peterson edges one through deep square leg for a single. AB cuts it hard square of the wicket for four, good controlled shot from him, brings the deficit down to 46 runs.

    Ajmal starts another over, Peterson hits it to short leg who drops a difficult catch. A couple of singles, Peterson looking to work the ball and stay at the crease. Ajmal completes another probing over. SA 139 for 7.

    Peterson comes to the crease and takes a single, after AB takes a safe single to long on. There was no need for that shot from Faf, he just came straight down the ground and hit it back to the bowler. SA 136 for 7, three runs from the over.

    WICKET! Faf falls, comes down the wicket and hits it straight back at Ajmal who takes a great catch. Pakistan get an early wicket after lunch. Faf goes for 9 runs. SA trail by 60 runs.

    After lunch, Babar continues. A couple of singles from the over.

    A single from the over, and lunch is called. AB and Faf still at the crease at lunch, putting up a fighting stand for SA. Pakistan still in control of this game, looking to chip away at SA after lunch. SA trail by 63 runs.

    Good shot from AB, hits it out of the park straight down the ground for a six, brings his 50 up in style. Seven from the over.

    AB pushes it through to third man for a couple of runs, this pair runs well between wickets. de Villiers pushes it to mid on for a single. Three runs from the over.

    Babar has bowled well on his debut in this match, Faf blocks a few and then comes down the pitch and drives it through the covers for four. Good confident shot to get off the mark. Four fielders around the circle, just four from the over.

    A single to de Villiers from the first ball and Faf keeps blocking and surviving. End of another over, SA 112 for 6, trail by 80 runs.

    A single to de Villiers as Babar continues, Faf plays the rest of the over out. Pakistan will look for another wicket before lunch to really tighten the screws, South Africa will look to stay out there.

    After drinks, Khan continues. AB has played a battling 36 today, SA will hope that he keep going. Worked away with a lot of bottom hand from AB, through midwicket for a couple of runs. A single to AB will bring Duminy on strike. WICKET! Khan strikes, Duminy goes for a duck, lbw. Umpire gives it out, Duminy reviews it but the third umpire gives it out too.

    Khan starts another over, Pakistan will bring spin from both ends soon. A single to AB and Junaid changes his angle to the left-handed Duminy. Good over from Khan.

    Babar comes into the attack, replacing Ajmal. Steyn hesitates as he goes for quick single but makes it in the end with the dive. WICKET! The ball does not turn, Steyn comes down the wicket and is castled, playing all over it, Babar gets the first wicket of the day. Duminy walks out to the middle, Steyn departs. After 38 overs, SA 104 for 5.


    Over 37 - SA 103/4 (de Villiers 34, Steyn 7)

    A hint of reverse swing for Khan, Steyn has watched him carefully. AB takes a single and is happy to give the strike to Steyn. End of the 37th over, just a single from it.


    Over 36 - SA 102/4 (de Villiers 33, Steyn 7)

    Steyn takes a single to get off strike and AB takes a single to bring him back on. Just a couple of singles from the over, this pair looking solid at the crease.

    Junaid Khan continues, and gets a warning for running on the danger area of the pitch. Both pace bowlers, Irfan and Khan have got one warning each. AB edges the last ball of the over for four through the slips to third man. The 100 comes up for SA.

    Beautiful shape on the ball from Ajmal, Steyn survives and blocks. A single to Steyn, and then AB takes three runs another good shot from him. South Africa trail by less than 100 runs now. Another single to Steyn, he meets the ball in front of his pads and nudges it to square leg for a single. A single to AB to end the over, SA 96 for 4 after 34 overs.


    Over 33 - SA 90/4 (de Villiers 24, Steyn 5)

    Junaid Khan comes into the attack, the first bowling change of the morning. He took the crucial wicket of Kallis yesterday. A single again for AB and Steyn is on strike. A single to end the over.


    Over 32 - SA 88/4 (de Villiers 23, Steyn 4)

    Manzoor does well on the boundary to save a single, three runs to AB. Steyn survives a terrific delivery from Ajmal, Pakistan don't review it as they only have one review left. Intense cricket at the start of the day.

    AB is happy to give the strike to Steyn who is also looking confident. Three runs from the first ball and then Steyn blocks Irfan solidly. Akmal makes a good stop on the leg side as Irfan strays down leg. A couple of runs to Steyn through midwicket and AB will take the strike next over against Ajmal.
