The Motor Sport magazine Hall of Fame, in association with Audi, is back for a fourth successive year, and you could be there! We have three pairs of tickets up for grabs for the event on February 25th
The Hall of Fame is an awards gathering with a difference: no 'black tie' formalities, just a stylish and relaxed atmosphere easing invited guests into the new season. Since its launch in 2010, the Hall of Fame has become established as the ideal curtain-raiser for another action-packed year.
A change of venue gives the Hall of Fame a new flavour this time, as you head to the Royal Opera House in London on February 25, when more great names from the sport's past and present will be added to the roster of legends included in the exclusive club.
In addition to the new members of the Hall of Fame, there will be a very special charity auction held on the night. A unique collection of Formula 1 auction items has been gathered, to be sold for the benefit of the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust.
Sir Jackie Stewart established the trust in 1987, together with his old team boss Ken Tyrrell and Ford's Walter Hayes, to provide medical and financial aid to F1 mechanics and their families who have need of it. Trustees include drivers David Coulthard and Martin Brundle, and Williams co-founder Patrick Head.
The lots consist of original F1 parts donated by the teams, and are displayed on stylish mounts as pieces of art. Special memorabilia items and a number of once-in-a-lifetime 'experiences' also go under the hammer at a sale that should raise a significant amount for a cause which has a natural affinity with this magazine.
Donations have been received from Red Bull Racing, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, Scuderia Ferrari, Mercedes AMG Petronas, Lotus F1, WilliamsF1, Bernie Ecclestone, charity trustee Jo Ramirez, Pirelli and Motor Passion. Bonhams auction house will host the sale on the night, but bids are accepted online, allowing all Motor Sport readers to take part.
Travel & accomodation not included.
