Opening batsman Upul Tharanga, overlooked for June's World Twenty20 in England, also returns, while selectors have called up 23-year-old Mahela Udawatte, a left-handed opener, and fast bowler Lasith Malinga.

Dilshan had fractured a finger while keeping wicket in the drawn final Test against Pakistan and is awaiting a medical report from a specialist.
The series starts in Dambulla on July 30.
