CLT20 Final: Warriors v Chennai

Over 1 Bollinger 0-4-4-1-0-1 10-0 - Sensational stuff from Davy Jacobs, whose response to being beaten first up is to launch a scathing attack on Bollinger. A length ball disappears to wide long-on for four, and then the next one is thrashed back past the bowler along the ground and flies to the boundary. Brutal stuff, and it's given the Warriors the positive start they needed to settle the nerves.

Sightscreen issues After that tense build-up, we have a delay as the sight screen is seen to. It's a lengthy break actually, so everyone will have to get their minds back in gear when we finally get going.

Drum roll please The players are on their way out to the middle. How will Davy Jacobs fire today in the biggest game of his life? This should be good. He has to face up to Doug Bollinger first up.

Road to the final Both teams were in Group A, where they each lost one match. Chennai lost to Victoria in a Super Over, while the Warriors lost to Chennai in the final Group game. However Davy Jacobs isn't concerned by that fact, and had this to say on the matter: "There was a game within a game against Chennai because we needed 109 to qualify (for the semi-finals), so our approach was probably a little different - especially in the first six (overs) - because we knew we first had to get 109. So I wouldn't read too much into that game, especially as the wicket was very slow and very low, and was probably close to a subcontinent wicket at St George's. Tomorrow's wicket will be quick and bouncy."

Chennai Michael Hussey, Murali Vijay, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (capt, wk), Subramaniam Badrinath, Srikanth Anirudha, Albie Morkel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Lakshmipathi Balaji, Doug Bollinger, Muttiah Muralitharan

Warriors Davy Jacobs (capt), Ashwell Prince, Colin Ingram, Craig Thyssen, Mark Boucher (wk), Justin Kreusch, Johan Botha, Nicky Boje, Juan Theron, Makhaya Ntini, Lonwabo Tsotsobe

Team news No surprises really, with both sides unchanged from their respective semi-finals. They've both been at full strength, so with no injury concerns there's no need to tweak the line-ups.

Toss The Warriors have won the toss and elected to bat first. Often sides prefer to chase at the Wanderers, but Davy Jacobs is clearly looking to just repeat the performance from last night.

Hello people It's the big one, the richest match in domestic cricket. The winner today walks away with $2.5 million, which is around double what the other team will receive. Given that around half of that prize money goes to the players, there's plenty to play for! Of course there's pride at stake as well, while Chennai hope to finish on a high before they're disbanded ahead of the next IPL auction.
