England v West Indies ODI Series 2012
The Kia Oval
West Indies batsman Darren Bravo has been ruled out of the remainder of the ond-day series with England due to a groin injury, while England have added Chris Woakes to their squad as possible cover for Jade Dernbach.
Bravo will play no further part in the NatWest Series after picking up a groin injury in the opening match and being forced to fly home to the Caribbean.
Bravo suffered the injury while fielding during the tourists' defeat to England at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday and he has now gone home after scans revealed the problem was serious.
The West Indies will not call up a replacement for the 23-year-old.
Chris Gayle, who missed Saturday's game with a stress reaction to a shin injury, will have a scan later on Monday to see if he can play in Tuesday's game at The Oval.
All-rounder Andre Russell will also go for a scan to see if his shoulder injury has cleared up.
England cancelled their media conference on Monday in the wake of the shocking news of Surrey batsman Tom Maynard's death.
The game is still set to take place at Maynard's home ground at the Oval, although Surrey have postponed their cuonty game as a mark of respect for promising England Lions batsman Maynard.
Surrey paceman Jade Dernbach was a close friend of Maynard, and he may not be available for the game on compassionate grounds, leading to England calling up Woakes as possible cover.
Dernbach could be unavailable for the remainder of the series after discovering his friend Maynard had been killed early on Monday after being hit by a train in London.
Woakes, 23, has played four one-dayers, the most recent of which was against Ireland last August, with the England and Wales Cricket Board confirming his call-up today.
The West Indies are 1-0 down in the three-match series having lost by 114 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method in the first limited overs encounter at Southampton.
The third game of the series will be at Headingley on Friday.
