Tremlett: Misses out

England have emulated a 123-year-old record by naming an unchanged side for this week's final npower Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge.

It is the first time since 1884-85 that England have named the same line-up for five successive Test matches.

New Zealand team news - McCullum fit to keep

Hampshire seamer Chris Tremlett once again misses out, with England preferring the line-up which fought back to claim a six-wicket victory over New Zealand in last week's second Test at Old Trafford.

Captain Michael Vaughan said: "It is a side that has won three out of the last four games.

"We realise we have to score more runs in the first innings, it's what the best teams in the world do. But we've showed a lot of character and resilience we wouldn't have done six or seven months ago."

Swing attack

Two members of England's three-man pace attack, Ryan Sidebottom and Stuart Broad, ply their trade at Trent Bridge for Nottinghamshire.

The ground has a reputation for assisting swing bowlers and Vaughan is looking to the duo, as well as James Anderson, to take advantage.

"It's an opportunity for the swing bowlers in the side to show how good they are," Vaughan said.

"The lads have been saying 84 percent (of wickets this season at Trent Bridge) have been caught behind or in the slips.

"If you look at our three (quick) bowlers, swing is probably their strength."
