LV County Championship Division One pacesetters Nottinghamshire include Graeme Swann in their side as they welcome struggling Surrey to Trent Bridge.

Swann takes the place of Bilal Shafayat in one of two changes from the Notts side which beat Hampshire at the Rose Bowl in the previous four-day fixture.

All-rounder Mark Ealham is also recalled for the hosts in place of Paul Franks in a like-for-like replacement in the lower middle-order.

"The table is very tight but we've got an opportunity to create a bit of daylight for ourselves if we win the game," Notts director of cricket Mick Newell told the club's official website.

Dangerous

"Surrey are bottom of the table but they have got more batting points than any other side so it's clear that they've been putting on big first-innings scores and the key for us will be to get the upper hand early on.

"Mark Ramprakash is always dangerous with the bat as is Usman Afzaal and Pedro Collins has been taking wickets."

Ramprakash continues his search for his hundredth hundred for the visitors who also recall opening batsman Stewart Walters after his return from injury.

Also included in the Surrey squad is Chris Murtagh who has scored runs in the second team this season, however it is expected that he will have to settle for a 12th man role.
