Shane Watson: Likely to be called home by Australia
The Sydney Sixers are likely to be without Australia all-rounder Shane Watson if they qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament.
Watson played a key role for the Sixers by scoring 46 as they opened their Group B campaign with a 14-run win over the Chennai Super Kings in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Sydney next play Yorkshire in Cape Town on Tuesday when a win could secure them a place in the last four.
However Australia are likely to call Watson home early so the 31-year-old can rest ahead of the three-Test series against South Africa which starts on 9 November.
Cricket Australia boss James Sutherland said: "We are reviewing Shane's load and circumstance very closely. I think it's reasonably well known that it's likely he won't see the tournament out.
"We're concerned about Shane. His injury record is unfortunate and what that tells us is that we need to monitor him and manage him very carefully and we are."
