Jim Troughton: half-century for the hosts
Warwickshire leapfrogged Sussex to go top of CB40 Group C after securing a dramatic three-wicket win over Yorkshire at Edgbaston under floodlights.
Half-centuries from skipper Jim Troughton and Tim Ambrose set the hosts on their way, before a late blast of 40 runs in just three overs from Steffan Pilet and Paul Best saw Warwickshire home on the Duckworth-Lewis method with just four balls to spare.
Yorkshire looked set-up for victory after captain Andew Gale (76) and Adam Lyth (69) helped them to a total of 213-8 from 34 overs, after rain forced a truncated match.
But Phoenix lost five wickets in quick succession after a rain break of over an hour to offer a glimmer of hope to Warwickshire.
The Bears built their innings around a third-wicket stand of 74 in 10 overs between Troughton and Ambrose which was ended when the former was bowled by Azeem Rafiq for 61.
Ambrose scored 64 from 47 deliveries before hitting Moin Ashraf to short third man but Piolet (23no from nine), forced to bat with a runner after injuring a hamstring while bowling, and Best (16no from nine) saw Warwickshire safely home.
