Indian Premier League
Punjab Cricket Assocn. Stadium, Mohali
The Rajasthan Royals moved above the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League table with a 43-run win over their rivals in Mohali.
Despite career-best figures of 4-34 from Australian Ryan Harris, the Royals posted a competitive total of 177-6 after opting to bat first.
Skipper Rahul Dravid led the way with 46 while there were also important contributions from Australian duo Shane Watson (36) and Brad Hodge (36) and Ashok Menaria (34).
Harris dismissed both Hodge, who hit two sixes and the same number of fours, and Stuart Binny in the final over, while leg-spinner Piyush Chawla also claimed two wickets for the Kings XI.
After already making a contribution with the bat, Watson chipped in with 2-22 to make sure the Royals would run out comfortable winners.
Shaun Tait and Johan Botha also bagged a brace of wickets as only three Kings XI batsmen managed to make it into double figures.
Shaun Marsh struck five fours and a six in a top score of 34, while Azhar Mahmood and Gurkeerat Singh scored 24 and 23 respectively. In the end, the innings concluded at 134-8.
