Dimitri Mascarenhas: 5-25 for Kings XI
Dimitri Mascarenhas recorded the best figures ever by a Kings XI Punjab bowler in his side's seven-wicket triumph over Pune Warriors.
The former England international claimed 5-25 from his four overs as the Warriors were dismissed for just 115 with six balls to spare in their innings.
Mithun Manhas' 31 from 28 balls was the only significant contribution for Pune before he became the fourth victim for Mascarenhas, leaving the score at 108-8.
The Hampshire all-rounder had started off in fine style too, getting Sourav Ganguly caught off his first ball and then bowling Marlon Samuels with his fourth. He also had the dangerous Robin Uthappa (17) caught in the deep.
Kings XI did lose Paul Valthaty to the very first ball of their reply, the opener dragging on from Ashok Dinda.
However, an unbeaten 64 from Shaun Marsh off 54 balls guided them home to their first triumph of the new Indian Premier League season - with 14 deliveries to spare.
Fellow Australian made 21 at the top of the order and Piyush Chawla saw the job home in partnership with Marsh, ending up with 21 not out from 24 balls.
