Yorkshire Bank 40
Trent Bridge, Nottingham
Skipper Darren Gough took 3-30 to help Yorkshire on their way to an eight wicket victory over Glamorgan in the second division of the NatWest Pro40 League.
Yorkshire restricted their hosts to 129-8 in a rain-adjusted 35 overs, then knocked off their target with all of 104 balls to spare to go top of the table.
Gough won the toss and asked Glamorgan to bat in seamer-friendly conditions.
He did the early damage himself alongside Jason Gillespie, whose figures of 1-8 from seven overs reflected the Australian's relentless accuracy.
Glamorgan did well to recover from 18-4, largely thanks to an unbeaten 37 from Mark Wallace.
Wicketkeeper Gerard Brophy hammered 66 from 36 balls to get Yorkshire off to a flying start and Glamorgan never looked like getting back into the match.
After Brophy went with the score at 98-2, Jacques Rudolph guided the Phoenix home with an efficient 49 from 48 balls.
The result means Glamorgan stay rock bottom of the table without a win all season.
