Sri Lanka A drew with India
The Indians held on for a draw on the third day of their tour match against Sri Lanka A, finishing at 187-6 in their second innings at Grace Road.
Opening batsman Michael Vandort struck 117 to allow Sri Lanka A to declare their second innings at 265-7 and leave the Indians chasing 294 for victory.
But after being reduced to 73-3, victory was off the agenda for Rahul Dravid's men, and it was left to Wasim Jaffer and Gautam Gambhir to guide them to a draw.
Jaffer (55) and Gambhir (53no) both contributed half-centuries, but several other batsmen failed to play themselves into form ahead of this week's final Test against England.
Dinesh Karthik (9), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (1), Venkat Laxman (3) and Dravid (15) all fell cheaply, while Yuvraj Singh's 33 is unlikely to be enough to prompt a Test recall.
