West Indies hammered Zimbabwe by an innings and 65 runs in the second Test in Dominica to complete a 2-0 series triumph.

Spinner Shane Shillingford was the star of the show as he took 5-34 in Zimbabwe's second innings of 141 all out to complete match figures of 10-93.

The West Indies had declared on their overnight score of 381-8 during a 15-minute rain delay in the morning and that gave them a first-innings advantage of 206.

Initially, Zimbabwe looked to be making a decent fist of at least avoiding an innings defeat as they reached 64-1, with Hamilton Masakadza the only casualty for 17.

However, it proved a false dawn as the the hosts crumbled against the Windies spin attack and were all out after just 42.2 overs of the third day.

Local favourite Shillingford, playing on his home ground, also claimed 9-107 in the first Test to give him a remarkable 19 scalps in the two-match series.

The West Indies won that match in similarly one-side fashion, romping home by nine wickets, and these two successes against an outclassed Zimbabwe means they have now won six consecutive Test matches - their best run since 1988.
