India Women beat West Indies Women by 8 wkts
India booked their place in the third-place play-off with a comprehensive eight-wicket win over West Indies at the Bankstown Oval.
Once again it was the India spinners who did the damage, in particular Priyanka Roy who claimed 4-14 to help dismiss Merissa Aguilleira's side for just 84.
Opener Aguilleira was one of five West Indies players dismissed for a duck - pace bowler Rumeli Dhar getting India off to an ideal start.
Stafanie Taylor (29) and Pamela Lavine (20) added 45 for the second wicket, however the introduction of India's spin attack ensured a premature end to the Windies innings.
The last six West Indian wickets cost just 12 runs as the middle and lower-order collapsed under intense pressure from Roy.
India took just 17.5 overs to surpass the meagre total of 84 - opener Sulakshana Naik (39 not out) and Mithali Raj (30no) sealing a win which sets up a clash with hosts and reigning champions Australia on Saturday.
