Indian Premier League
Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
Mumbai Indians warmed up for the Indian Premier League play-offs with a 10-wicket rout of Rajasthan Royals in their final group match.
The Indians, who were already guaranteed a top-four place before the clash in Jaipur, chased down a target of 163 in 18 overs without losing any wickets.
The Royals won the toss and elected to bat, with big-hitting Australian Shane Watson top-scoring with 45 as the Royals reached 162-6.
Stuart Binny struck 30, including two sixes, while Owais Shah and Ashok Menaria contributed 28 not out and 21 respectively. Dhawal Kulkarni took 3-18 to finish as the pick of Mumbai's bowlers.
However, any hopes that Rajasthan's effort might prove to be a competitive total were dismissed by a fearsome opening stand from Sachin Tendulkar and Dwayne Smith.
The duo settled into their stride immediately, with Smith the more attacking of the two as he plundered 10 fours and three sixes in an unbeaten 87 from just 58 balls.
Tendulkar also cantered along at more than a run a ball, finishing with 58 from 51 as the visitors completed victory with two overs to spare.Indian Premier League. Click here to bet.
