Calum MacLeod: Top scored with 55 off 35 balls
Scotland opened their ICC World Twenty20 qualifying campaign with a 14-run victory over Kenya in Dubai.
Calum MacLeod set up the victory with a half-century as Scotland posted 178-7 from their 20 overs at the ICC Global Cricket Academy.
Gordon Drummond then took three wickets as the Kenyans were bowled out for 164.
Opener MacLeod scored 55 off 35 balls and shared a quickfire 41-run partnership with Richie Berrington (28) inside four overs.
Kyle Coetzer continued his fine recent form with 46 from 36 deliveries and an unbeaten 22 from Preston Mommse added late impetus down the order.
Off-spinner James Ngoche was the pick of the Kenya bowlers with 2-31.
Veteran Collins Obuya led the way in Kenya's reply but when he was out for 50, made from 36 balls, the momentum was lost.
Alex Obanda scored 35 and Rakep Patel also made 21 before he was run out by Berrington.
When Ngoche and his brother Shem were run out off the last two balls, both by Berrington, Kenya were all out for 164.
Drummond finished with 3-20 and Majid Haq 2-32.
