Mahmudullah: Two crucial wickets late on dented Irish hopes
Bangladesh won a thrilling second T20 international against Ireland in Belfast where the visitors made it home by a single run.
Needing 10 to win from the final over, Ireland came up short as spinner Mahmudullah claimed two vital wickets including that of star batsman Ed Joyce.
Having made 41 precious runs from 44 deliveries, Joyce was caught at long by Tamim Iqbal.
One-ball earlier, Mahmudullah had Andrew Poynter caught by Shakib Al Hasan at long on.
However, Ireland had looked in decent shape when they reached 104-2 in the 15th over, while chasing 147 for victory.
In the end they made 145-6, after Nasir Hossain had starred for Bangladesh who totalled 146-6 from their 20 overs.
Hossain struck a decisive unbeaten 50 off 33 balls - thanks to four fours and a brace of sixes.
Bangladesh's four extras conceded - against the 11 given up by the Irish - was another crucial statistic as the tourists just scraped home.
