Charlotte Edwards: Top-scored for England with 33 off 37 balls
England's bowlers restricted New Zealand to just 93-8
England have booked their place in the final of the women's ICC World Twenty20 after romping to a seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in Colombo.
A fourth successive victory in the competition was secured when England restricted the Silver Ferns to just 93-8 and chased down the target with 16 balls to spare.
After opting to bowl first, Danielle Wyatt (2-15) and Holy Colvin (2-15) collected two wickets apiece for England as only Kiwi opener Amy Satterthwaite (30) enjoyed any success against the slower bowlers.
Charlotte Edwards led the run-chase with 33 at the top of the order and Sarah Taylor (21no) ensured England crossed the line with ease.
England will now await the winners of Australia and West Indies in Sunday's final.
In a rematch of the 2009 final, which England won by six wickets, New Zealand suffered a disastrous start when captain Suzie Bates was run-out for a duck following sharp work from Lydia Greenway.
Satterthwaite, who was involved in the mix-up with her skipper, went on to top-score for the Silver Ferns, however she lacked any real support as England's bowlers dominated on a spin-friendly surface.
Colvin snared Sara McGlashan and Satterthwaite in the middle overs and only some late hitting from Nicola Brown (18) and wicketkeeper Katey Martin (19) saw New Zealand threaten three figures.
The 94-run target never looked enough to trouble England's high-quality batting line-up and Edwards ensured her side got off to a strong start with 33 off 37 deliveries.
She shared an opening partnership worth 32 with Laura Marsh (11) but departed with the score on 53 when top-edging a cut to Sophie Devine at backward point off the bowling of Erin Bermingham.
England still had work to do at that stage but Taylor, who was stumped off a no-ball, combined with Greenway for a stand worth 40 to take the scores level and the in-form right-hander finished the job in the 18th over.
