The Netherlands and Sussex managed to complete only 10.2 overs of their Yorkshire Bank 40 Group A clash at Schiedam before it was abandoned due to heavy rain.

Having won the toss, the visitors elected to field and notched two early wickets, with the bowling of Lewis Hatchett seeing off Stephanus Myburgh (2) then, via Joe Gatting's catch, Wesley Barresi (4).

The Netherlands had made it to 28-0 when weather forced the players indoors.

And they remained there as the rain continued to fall, eventually prompting umpires Rob Bailey and Jeff Evans to abandon the contest.
