Chris Lynn: half-century underpinned Brisbane Heat's total
Nathan Coulter-Nile: impressive hitting from Perth Scorchers all-rounder
Nathan Coulter-Nile blasted Perth Scorchers to a nine-wicket, rain-affected victory over Brisbane Heat.
Chasing a target of 51 in five overs, Coulter-Nile's 23 not out off six deliveries turned things around for his side after they were struggling at 22-1 with 12 balls remaining.
He hit two sixes and two fours as 21 runs came from the penultimate over, bowled by seamer Dan Christian (0-21).
Coulter-Nile's second-wicket partner Shaun Marsh (19no) finished the job with a six off Thisara Perera (0-8) from the second delivery of the final over.
Chris Lynn had earlier struck 51 off 29 balls to power the Heat to 109-4 when rain arrived at The Gabba.
Lynn, whose innings featured five fours and three sixes, dominated a fourth-wicket stand of 84 with Christian (37no) after Brisbane had slumped to 19-3 in the fourth over, Alfonso Thomas (2-15) and Michael Beer (2-17) doing the damage.
The rain eventually relented just in time for Perth to chase a Duckworth-Lewis revised target.
