Aaron Finch: Renegades opener finished on 46 not out
Melbourne Renegades maintained their 100 per cent record in the Big Bash League with a seven-wicket win over Hobart Hurricanes.
The Renegades chased down a target of 103 with 40 balls to spare, opening batsman Aaron Finch leading the charge with an unbeaten 46 off 40 deliveries.
Finch was well supported by Marlon Samuels (21) and Ben Rohrer (18) as the Renegades eased to their third victory in a row in the 14th over.
The Hurricanes had earlier stumbled to 102-9 after being sent in to bat at Melbourne's Docklands Stadium.
Ricky Ponting hit a run-a-ball 25 at the top of the order before being bowled by old adversary Muttiah Muralitharan (2-16). Owais Shah's 14 was the next best score for Hobart.
Seam bowler Nathan Rimmington (3-18) and Jamaican all-rounder Samuels (3-22) impressed with the ball for the Renegades, who now top the BBL table with six points.
