Hampshire beat Glamorgan by 4 wkts

Michael Powell hit an unbeaten century for Glamorgan but it was not enough to as Hampshire triumphed by four wickets in Cardiff.

Powell hit an unbeaten 114 and Matthew Wood added 64 as Glamorgan made 229-5 from their 50 overs at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff.

It was not to be enough though as a solid team effort from Hampshire, including 65 from Michael Carberry saw the visitors home with just ten balls in hand.

Powell and Wood combined for 145 of Glamorgan's runs for the second wicket, and another Powell partnership of 48 alongside Mark Wallace saw them to 229-5.

Carberry put on an opening stand of 96 with Michael Lumb (35), and after that there were several solid contributions to get the visitors home.

Carberry went for 65 and Chirs Benham made 39, James Adams 22 and crucially Michael Brown was unbeaten on 35 to get Hampshire the win by four wickets.
