New Zealand beat Worcestershire by 95 runs
New Zealand warmed up for their one-day matches against England by scoring a 95-run win against Worcestershire at New Road.
Brendon McCullum led the way for the tourists, the wicketkeeper-batsman hitting an 83-ball century before eventually going on to make 123.
The Black Caps eventually made 358-8, falling just short of the record 50-over score on the ground, 365-7, which was made by Worcestershire against Scotland in the Friends Provident Trophy last year.
With New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori winning the toss and electing to bat, openers Jamie How (48) and McCullum added 101 in just 15 overs before the former fell to Chris Whelan.
The same bowler then claimed Peter Fulton (2) before Ross Taylor joined McCullum to add 142 for the third wicket. After an innings which included three sixes and 12 fours, the latter eventually became Whelan's third victim.
Taylor went onto make 75 off 71 balls before falling to Darryl Mitchell, with Scott Styris (36) and Jacob Oram (24) keeping the momentum going before a late flurry of wickets, with Whelan finishing with figures of 4-78.
Styris then dented Worcestershire's hopes of making their target, the all-rounder removing three middle order wickets as the home side were dismissed for 263 in 48 overs.
Openers Vikram Solanki (80) and Stephen Davies (48) put on 98 in 18 overs but Worcestershire never recovered once the latter had been run out.
Moeen Ali (0) was trapped lbw by Jeetan Patel while Styris removed Stephen Moore lbw, also for a duck.
Graeme Hick (7) was caught behind by McCullum off Styris, with the same combination also accounting for Mitchell (1).
Having lost five wickets for 29 runs in the space of eight overs, Gareth Batty (34) helped Solanki add 50 before falling to Mark Gillespie, with the skipper eventually being dismissed by his counterpart.
Kabir Ali (43) provided late entertainment before the home side were dismissed.
