Glamorgan Dragons' Twenty20 Cup clash against Gloucestershire Gladiators at the SWALEC Stadium was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of persistent rain.

It is the third of Glamorgan's four home Twenty20 games which have fallen victim to the weather.

The state of the weather forced the umpires - Vanburn Holder and Rob Bailey - to call the match off at 8.20pm with both sides receiving a point each.

The result sees Glamorgan's qualification hopes suffer a minor blip as they remian in third with five points.

The Gladiators' chances of finishing in the top two are all but over as they remain bottom of the Midlands/West/Wales Division with two points from their five fixtures.
