Kent beat Warwickshire by 22 runs
Jonathan Trott's 91 not out could not stop Warwickshire slipping to a 22-run defeat at the hands of Kent in NastWest Pro40 action.
The Bears failed to get revenge for their Twenty20 Cup defeat against the same opponents as they finished on 206-9 chasing a target of 229.
Azhar Mahmood was the hero with the ball for the visitors, the former Pakistan all-rounder claiming 4-29 in his eight overs.
Only Trott managed to keep Warwickshire alive in the contest, his 102-ball innings seeing him bat through the full 40 overs.
However, it wasn't enough to stop Kent coming out on top at Edgbaston for the second time in the space of 11 days.
Skipper Rob Key had been the mainstay of their total of 228-8, his 80 runs taking just 83 deliveries after he had lost opening partner Joe Denly with only three runs on the scoreboard.
Martin van Jaarsveld contributed 49 out of a second-wicket stand of 82, while number six Matt Walker shared a partnership of 76 with his captain.
Key's innings was eventually ended by opposite number Darren Maddy, who also dismissed Mahmood to finish as the pick of the home attack with 2-26.
