Northamptonshire beat Warwickshire by 5 wkts
Stephen Peters' 97 not out led the Northamptonshire Steelbacks to a five-wicket victory over the Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston.
Opening batsman Peters played a patient 132-ball innings that allowed the Steelbacks to recover from 12-3 and reach a target of 233 with more than four overs in hand.
The run chase looked doomed when Neil Carter (3-31) removed Niall O'Brien (7), David Sales (0) and Nicky Boje (0) with the new ball before Peters repaired the early damage in the company of Robert White during a fourth-wicket stand of 67.
But Northants' prospects still looked bleak when White was dismissed for 24, caught behind off Darren Maddy's (1-32) medium pace with the score at 79.
However, Riki Wessels joined Peters in a fifth-wicket stand of 144 that turned the match around and, although Wessels was bowled by Lee Daggett (1-43) for 78 with the finish line in sight, the Steelbacks cruised home.
Earlier, Jonathan Trott's unbeaten 120 guided Warwickshire to a total of 232-8 after they had also been in a spot of early trouble at 22-3.
