Australia replace injured wicketkeeper for British Isles tour

Tim Paine is to replace injured wicketkeeper Brad Haddin in Australia's one-day international squad for their matches against England and Ireland later this month. Cricket Australia physiotherapist Alex Kountouris has confirmed that Haddin will definitely miss the ODI leg of their upcoming tour, which also features two Tests against Pakistan. Kountouris said: "Brad has been struggling with tendon elbow pain (tennis elbow) while batting during the ICC Twenty20 World Cup. As with most tendon injuries, time is required to allow the pain to settle and gradually increase the tendon load. "His availability for the Twenty20 internationals and Tests matches against Pakistan in the UK will be dependent on his progress over the next few weeks." Paine, who has an average of 30 in 17 one-day matches, made his debut on the 2009 England tour when Haddin missed the ODI series after suffering a broken finger in the Ashes. Selectors have also named Victoria's Matthew Wade as the replacement for Paine in the Australia A squad to play Sri Lanka A in Queensland later this month.
