Out-of-form batsman not included in squad to play Pakistan

Bangladesh have axed Mohammad Ashraful from their limited-overs squad for the home series against Pakistan. The 27-year-old batsman, who has been in and out of the national side on a regular basis in recent years, had already been dropped from Bangladesh's Test side. And now there is no place for Ashraful in the one-day set-up after he suffered a dismal run of scores in the format. All-rounder Farhad Reza is recalled after a three-year absence and Elias Sunny, who impressed on debut against the Windies is in, but Suhrawadi Shuvo and Shuvagata Hom are not included. Vice-captain Mahmudullah also returns after illness. Bangladesh and Pakistan play a Twenty20 on November 29 in Dhaka before a three-match one-day series on December 1, 3 and 6. Bangladesh squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (captain & wicketkeeper), Mahmudullah (vice-captain), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Shakib Al Hasan, Alok Kopali, Naeem Islam, Nasir Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Abdur Razzak, Nazmul Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Elias Sunny, Farhad Reza, Shahriar Nafees.
