The pick of the action from the fourth day of the fourth Test between India and England in Mumbai

England closed on 182-6 and face a battle to save the fourth Test after Virat Kohli’s magnificent double hundred earlier on day four.

Click on the video above to see the best of the action so far on the fourth day of the fourth Test in Mumbai, as half-centuries from Joe Root (77) and Jonny Bairstow (50no) gave England, still trailing by 49 runs, a slim chance of avoiding defeat before two late wickets.

Earlier, Kohli (235) and Jayant Yadav (104) batted the whole of the morning session, ultimately taking their eighth wicket partnership to 241 runs - Kohli going through to his highest Test score and third double-ton in 2016, while Jayant scored a maiden Test century.

Chris Woakes picked up Kohli and Adil Rashid took two wickets as England finally bowled India out for 631 midway through the second session with the home side looking for quick runs.

England's second innings got off to the worst possible start as Keaton Jennings - who scored a hundred in the first innings on debut - was dismissed for a first-ball duck; lbw to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Alastair Cook (18) and Root rebuilt slightly, but then the England skipper and Moeen Ali (0) fell in consecutive Ravindra Jadeja overs to see India closing in on a series-clinching victory.

Root and Bairstow batted superbly after tea to frustrate the hosts before Root fell to Jayant just after drinks, pinning in front.

Bairstow then successfully reviewed twice to stay at the crease and progressed to 50 in the closing stages. However, Ben Stokes was not so fortunate as he had to go after reverse-sweeping the ball onto his boot, the ball looping up to slip where Murali Vijay took the catch to give Ravichandran Ashwin his first wicket of the innings.

The off-spinner then added his second in the final over of the day, nightwatchman Jake Ball feathering an edge through to Parthiv Patel.
