Jos Buttler and Alex Hales will make their debut in baseball alongside the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers at Hyde Park next month.
The England duo, who are preparing for an upcoming Twenty20 series against South Africa, will be given a chance to display their big-hitting skills alongside Major League Baseball stars Carlos Pena, Cliff Lloyd and Shawn Green at the 'Battlegrounds' event on July 4 - Independence Day in the United States.
Lancashire batsman Jos Buttler will turn out for the Red Sox, while Hales will represent the Dodgers at the free event, which is being held as part of the British Summer Time Hyde Park festival.
The pair will then join some of the sport's biggest names in an all-star Home Run Derby, in which the participants battle to hit the most home runs against the clock.
Buttler has talked up his chances ahead of the event, which is being held to promote baseball and softball in the UK and Europe.
"Hyde Park is a great venue, and baseball is similar to my batting style, so I'm looking forward to being a Red Sox for the night and hitting at least one out of the park,' he said.
Hales also expects to do well despite his lack of experience in the sport.
"It's going to be fun being part of the Dodgers team," he said. "I know my biggest six went 111 metres, so I hope I can hit a few like that."
Buttler and Hales will take part in the event just two days before England's opening Test against South Africa at Lord's.
Joe Root's side face the Proteas in four Test matches, following the conclusion of the three-game Twenty20 series which gets underway at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton on Wednesday.
