Dawid Malan pushed his case for inclusion in this winter's Ashes, putting on 162 with star man Alastair Cook, as England ran amok on day two of the first Test against Windies at Edgbaston.
Click on the video above to see how Malan's maiden fifty played its part in helping the home side to 514-8 declared, built on Cook's cracking 243.
After struggling to impress against South Africa at The Oval and Old Trafford earlier this summer, Middlesex's Malan made his pitch for a permanent place at number five - all be it on a pitch offering the Windies attack little assistance.
Cook accumulated at his own pace, registering the third-highest Test score and the fourth double-ton of his career after beginning the day on 153no.
Windies lost opener Kraigg Brathwaite for a duck at the start of their reply - James Anderson finding the edge with his eighth ball - and Stuart Broad had two chances dropped off his bowling before rain intervened with Windies 44-1.
The tourists will start day three 470 runs in arrears at the earlier start time of 1.30pm after rain brought day two to a premature close just before 7.30pm.
Live coverage of the first Test between England and Windies continues on Sky Sports Cricket from 12.30pm, with over-by-over commentary and in-play clips on our live blog on Sky Sports digital platforms.
