Ben Stokes has sent a message to his England team-mates, willing them on in the first Ashes Test match against Australia.
The all-rounder is currently under police investigation after being arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm during an incident in Bristol in September and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to play any part in the Ashes.
Having not travelled to Australia, Stokes has now sent a message offering words of support to his team-mates as they prepare for the opener in Brisbane.
Publishing a short video via his personal Instagram account, Stokes paid tribute to the entire squad and staff, before adding he would be watching all the action from home.
"With the Ashes starting very soon I just wanted to get a message out to the boys in Australia wishing them all the best for the first Test match," said Stokes.
"All the coaches and all the backroom staff as well, I know how much preparation has gone into making sure everyone is right and ready to go, and by the looks of it everyone is.
"[I] just want to wish all the fans who have made the long travel out to Australia all the best as well. I hope we can give you a good result in the first Test match.
"I'll be sat at home watching and following the lads and hoping they do really well."
