Nottinghamshire have loaned bowler Mark Davies from Durham as their bowling crisis worsened with Nadeem Malik returning to Worcestershire.
Malik had arrived at Trent Bridge on a month-long loan deal to help Notts out of their bowling crisis, but selection problems for The Pears have forced them to bring him back.
The move has left Notts woefully short of bowling options, but Durham have come to their rescue by allowing Davies to join them on loan.
"Nadeem has been called back and that is a big blow for us." said Notts director of cricket Mick Newell.
"He has bowled all right for us in the games he has played and we would have continued to be in the side had he still been here."
Following, Simon Francis, Kyle Hogg and Malik, Davies is the fourth man Newell has brought in this season as his bowling options have continued to drop like flies.
Davies will spend a month at Trent Bridge and goes straight into the squad for the club's Pro40 League match against Essex on Wednesday night.
Newell has seen his side decimated by injuries in the bowling department this season, with Ryan Sidebottom the latest as he returned from England duty with a side strain.
Charlie Shreck was hit on the leg against Derbyshire in June but could return next week against Northants, while Mark Ealham could also return next week after being sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Paul Franks has been out since June with an ankle injury, Mark Footitt is out for the season while another loanee Kyle Hogg has returned to Lancashire with ankle trouble.
