Australia all-rounder Shane Watson has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Twenty20 due to a hamstring injury.
Watson, 26, will also miss Australia's one-day tour of India that follows the tournament due to a 'low grade muscular strain'.
The Queenslander, who has a history of hamstring problems, sustained the latest injury while bowling against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
"He's got a sore hamstring again and after bringing him over here and nursing him through and doing everything we could to get him right for yesterday," said coach Tim Nielsen.
"We decided the best thing was to get him home and give him time to recover.
"We're working through the process of a replacement but unfortunately Andrew Hilditch, our chairman of selectors, went home yesterday and is still on the plane so we're feverishly trying to make phone calls and get in contact with them and get something happening across the eight-hour time difference."
Watson joins captain Ricky Ponting as the second member of Australia's original 15-man squad to be ruled out of the tournament by a hamstring injury.
Australia play India in Saturday's second semi-final, a match you can watch live on Sky Sports at 5pm.
