Ricky Ponting has condemned the 'sloppiness' of his Australia team in the first CB series final against India on Sunday.
Sachin Tendulkar scored a century as India chased down 240 to go 1-0 up in the best-of-three final.
Having won the toss at the Sydney Cricket Ground and elected to bat first Ponting's side made a disastrous start to their innings, slumping to 24-3 inside six overs.
Despite recovering to make 238-9 from their 50 overs, India made it comfortably home with 4.1 overs to spare in reply and the Australian skipper was not impressed.
"We were probably still 20 or 30 runs short," he told Sky Sports. "It's another sloppy performance, not only from our batters, I thought we probably bowled as badly tonight as we have through the series.
"We had a couple of close shaves early on with Sachin and then after that he got into his groove and played a super innings.
"We've only got a day before the next match in Brisbane so we haven't got much time to work on it at all.
"I think really for us it's about getting our heads right, a couple of the guys today will be disappointed with the shots that they got out to at pretty vital times so we've just got to get our thinking right."
