All-rounder out of clash with Windies because of injury
Jacob Oram has been ruled out of New Zealand's second Test against the West Indies because of a calf strain.
The injury-prone all-rounder failed to make the frustrating draw in Dunedin because of the lingering problem and he will now take time out to prepare for the Twenty20 and One-Day International games.
Worse still for New Zealand, there are now doubts over Oram's replacement James Franklin, who took a heavy knock on the ribs while batting in the first Test.
Paceman Chris Martin and all-rounder Peter Fulton come into the squad as cover, with batsman Ross Taylor also struggling to recover from a dislocated finger.
Both Taylor and Franklin are expecting to be fit in time for the second Test in Napier on Friday though.
