Pietersen and Flintoff fit for decider

England duo Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff have been cleared for the fifth and final one-day international against West Indies on Friday. The rest of England's one-day squad flew overnight from Barbados to St Lucia immediately after Sunday's emphatic nine-wicket victory over West Indies at the Kensington Oval, which set up a series decider on April 3. But Pietersen and Flintoff remained behind to undergo scans at a Barbados hospital, later getting the all-clear. Batsman Pietersen limped out of the game having bowled only five balls of his only over due to a back spasm, while all-rounder Flintoff suffered an injury to his left thumb in the field. "Scans and x-rays have cleared Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen of major damage. They'll join the England squad in St.Lucia tonight," an England cricket board spokesman said on Monday.

Miller out

West Indies, meanwhile, have been forced into one change to their squad after left-arm spinner Nikita Miller was withdrawn due to a side strain. Miller suffered the injury while batting during the fourth ODI. He retired hurt but returned to the crease after treatment and was able to bowl two overs. But the 26-year-old Jamaican is not fit enough to feature at the Beausejour Stadium and has been replaced by fellow slow left-armer Sulieman Benn in an otherwise unchanged squad.
